Dr. Toothman is thrilled to join Wells Orthodontics and work alongside Dr. Wells in providing considerate, tailored care for the Wake Forest community. She grew up in the Charlotte area and attended UNC Chapel Hill, graduating with a BS in Business Administration. She subsequently fulfilled her dream of traveling the world, working in Public Relations and Marketing in China, Chile, and the Czech Republic (apparently, she likes the ‘Ch’ sound). During that time, she decided to change her career to dentistry, not only because of her last name (although it is indeed perfect for the job), but because of the meaningful positive impact she could make with others, and eventually made it back to North Carolina to attend UNC for dental school. After dental school, Dr. Toothman practiced as a general dentist in the Triad and Triangle areas for four years before deciding to return to school once again to pursue her masters in orthodontics at the University at Buffalo. She promised her husband this was the last time she would return to school full time.
Dr. Toothman and her husband, Szymon, are happy to be back in North Carolina raising their son, Oskar, and aussiedoodle, Freddie. They love to travel and to also explore the community around them, so please let Dr. Toothman know if you have any restaurant or activity suggestions in the area!
